Gary Clemons is a portfolio manager and analyst at Mercator and is responsible for the United Kingdom and northeast Asia. Prior to joining Mercator in 2003, he served as Deputy Director of Research and Executive Vice President at Templeton Investment Counsel in Ft. Lauderdale, where he managed $3 billion in international equities. From 1990 to 1993 he served as a research analyst and portfolio manager at Templeton Quantitative Advisors in New York, a subsidiary of Templeton International. Gary holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin and a BS degree from the University of Nevada. In addition, he served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1981 to 1985. He is a member of the CFA Society of South Florida.
